The National Herald - NEW YORK – The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce (HACC), Hellenic Medical Society of New York (HMSNY), Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce (CUSCC), Hellenic Professional Women Inc. (HPW), Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA), and HABA – Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance held their annual Traditional Cutting of the Vasilopita at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity hall in Manhattan on January 8.

- NEW YORK – The Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA) held its 30th Annual Gala on November 2 at the Pierre Hotel in Manhattan. The Honorable Gregory G. Katsas, United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, was awarded the Distinguished Legal Service Award. Scholarships to deserving students were also presented at the gala.

On Friday, November 2, 2018 the Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA) will be hosting it’s 30th Annual Dinner Gala. Reservations and ticket sales will open in the coming weeks. “At the gala, we will be awarding scholarships to law students of Hellenic descent who demonstrate exemplary academic achievements and involvement in their Greek community,” according to HLA’s press release.

NEW YORK – At the lavish Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue and 61st Street in Manhattan across the street from Central Park, it was easy on the evening of November 21 to determine which group was comprised of Greek lawyers.
One flight up from the Pierre’s opulent lobby led to a large area that contained two distinct crowds, and one was considerably louder than the other. Greeks are loud, and lawyers are loud, and so Greek lawyers? It’s not hard to figure out.

NEW YORK – When the only issue at the 25^th annual Dinner Dance Gala of the Hellenic Lawyers Association is the need for a bigger room – New York venues don’t get much more elegant than the Pierre Hotel, however – the clear verdict is that it was a great success.
